YourSales Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Contracts Manager covering the M62 Corridor.

The Company


Our Client  is a privately owned, multi-discipline, award-winning Main Contractor working across the m62 corridor 

They offer a full range of professional construction, design and building services. Together the Group offers unrivalled service to the industrial, commercial and retail and food production markets for both new build and refurbishment projects.
 

Scope and Remit
The Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for the delivery of multiple projects on time, within the budget and to exceptional standards. They will work in close collaboration with the Contracts Director in order to provide a high level of service by ensuring customer satisfaction and to develop further business opportunities through operating in a safe, efficient and profitable manner.They will ensure that, from concept to completion, the pre-development and construction process is managed effectively, efficiently and safely.


Responsibilities:
Pre-contract:
  •  Pre-planning of projects to ensure adequate resourcing
  •  Ensure that suitable and sufficient information is provided in a timely manner by the Designers
  •  Review drawings and raise requests for further information (RFI) as required
  •  Produce construction methodologies
  •  Produce RFI schedules
  •  Produce tender programmes
  •  Produce labour, plant and material forecasts
  •  Profit plan review
  •  Smart Start and Pre-Start checklists
     
Post-contract:
  •  Manage client expectations
  •  Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental excellence
  •  Produce and track construction programmes
  •  Produce and submit information required schedules
  •  Produce procurement schedules in conjunction with the Commercial team
  •  Supply chain engagement
  •  Change control
  •  Review labour, plant and material forecasts
  •  Cost and value comparison – profit plan review
  •  Quality control- zero defects
  •  Operations & amp; Maintenance manuals submission
  •  Status and KPI reporting using the Company system- Link
     
Contracts
  •  Attend Making Good Defects (MGD) meeting
  •  Closeout any issues and obtain MGD certificates
  •  Operations and Maintenance submission.

General
  •  Ensure company policy and procedures are adhered to
  •  Actively engages with management processes
  •  Maintain strong relationships with Clients
  •  Undertake additional responsibilities as required
  •  Protect the Company Position and uphold the Company Values
     
Knowledge, training and experience required
  •  Relevant experience of contracts/project management/site management
  •  Knowledge and understanding of the construction industry and issues such as building regulations and planning
  •  Experience in a customer facing role, with an ability to build client relationships
  •  Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental safety requirements
  •  Computer literate with good knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages
  •  Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
  •  Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Black Card
  •  Asbestos Awareness and Temporary Works Appreciation
  •  Full clean Driving licence
  •  NVQ level 6 or equivalent in construction or a construction related discipline
